The plastic fuel tank is secured with straps under the rear seat cushion in front of the rear axle. It is divided into two chambers.
The fuel tank is ventilated by means of a ventilation system with an activated carbon filter. The activated carbon filter is located behind the inner wing of the left rear wheel. The amount of fuel is shown by a special indicator on the instrument panel. At the same time, the full state for each chamber is separate and is measured by a lever sensor. A microprocessor in the instrument panel unit determines the instantaneous content of gasoline in the tank using pulses from the injection system, speed data and an electrical signal from the lever sensor.
