Rules for working with fuel system parts (BMW 7 Series E32)

When working with fuel system parts, special attention must be paid to maintaining cleanliness.

Clean joints and their surroundings thoroughly before separation.

Place the removed parts on a clean surface and cover them with film and paper.

Carefully cover or cap open parts when performing repairs.

Install only clean parts.

Remove spare parts from packaging immediately before installation.

Do not use parts that have been stored unpackaged or in open boxes.

When opening the fuel system, do not use compressed air if possible. Do not move the vehicle if possible.

Diesel fuel should not be allowed to come into contact with the radiator hoses, as it will damage them. If fuel is spilled, it should be wiped up immediately.
