Air Filter Housing/Air Flow Meter — Removal and Installation (BMW 7 Series E32)

Removal



Remove the air flow meter. To do this, turn the knurled wheel on the plug to the left and pull the plug off. Loosen the air hose clamp. Use a screwdriver to push the two brackets outward.

Loosen the bolt and lift the air filter housing out of the intake manifold and the rubber support slightly upwards.

Unscrew the bolts of the additional container and remove it from the air filter housing.

Installation



Install and secure the additional capacity,

Insert the air filter housing with the lower rubber support into the recess so that the intake neck is fixed to the wing. Tighten the mounting bolt.

Insert the air flow meter with the sealing ring and secure it with the brackets.

Place the air hose going to the intake manifold onto the air flow meter and secure it with a clamp.

Attach the air flow meter plug and turn the knurled wheel to the right.
