Caution! When moving the exterior mirror housing, hold it only by the place closest to the body (1, Fig. 18.87) on the fairing drainage channel, otherwise the internal retainer may be damaged.

Removing the left or right exterior mirror housing must be carried out in the following order.
Unlock the mirror fairing (1) latches on the mirror stand (2). Release the fairing (1. Fig. 18.88) mirrors from the clamps forward and upward so that the illumination (2) becomes accessible. Disconnect IIIC (3), turn the fairing (1) of the mirror forward and upward (arrow) and separate it from the foot (4) of the mirror.

Unlock the latches (1, Fig. 18.89) and separate the mirror ring (2) from the mirror leg (3).

The installation of the exterior mirror housing should be carried out in the reverse order, while checking that the fairing fasteners are not damaged. During installation, do not allow damage to the fasteners on the mirror ring. Check the rear-view mirrors for functionality.
If the exterior mirror housing is being replaced, it is necessary to remove the socket with the backlight lamp from the housing and install it in the new housing.
