Attention! When moving the exterior mirror housing, hold it only at the point closest to the body (1, fig. 18.87) on the fairing drain channel, otherwise the internal retainer may be damaged.
Removal of the case of the left or right exterior mirror must be carried out in the following order.
Unlock fairing locks (1) leg mirrors (2) mirrors. Release fairing (1. fig. 18.88) mirrors from the clamps so far forward and up that the backlight becomes available (2). Disconnect IIIC (3), turn fairing (1) mirrors forward and up (arrow) and separate it from the leg (4) mirrors.
Unlock latches (1, fig. 18.89) and separate the ring (2) leg mirrors (3) mirrors.
Install the exterior mirror housing in reverse order, checking that the fairing clips are not damaged. During installation, do not damage the clips on the mirror ring. Check rear-view mirrors for function.
If the exterior mirror housing is to be replaced, it is necessary to remove the socket with the illumination lamp from the housing and install it in the new housing.
