Attention! If there is a "PDC" system, it is necessary to disconnect the plug connectors (PC) of the system and remove the cable. When removing the bumper, move it back a little and remove the protective cable sleeve.
The car does not have the "PDC" system. Removing the rear bumper of a car without the "PDC" system must be done in the following order. Stick the textile tape (1, Fig. 18.14) on the exhaust pipes (2), due to the risk of damaging them. Press the exhaust pipe (2) down (arrow) and unscrew the bolt securing the left shock absorber to the bumper, using a standard T55 Torx wrench with a ratchet on one side. Perform a similar operation on the opposite side of the car.

Install the stand under the rear bumper of the car. Unscrew the screws (1, Fig. 18.15) protective covers on the left and right sides. Hook and pull out the protective cover (2) from the left and right wheel arches. Open the lower trunk lid and detach the visors of the left and right protective covers. Close the lower trunk lid, remove the support and remove the bumper (3), pushing it back.

If the PDC system is present, after opening the lower tailgate, pull the bumper on the right side so that the PDC system harness becomes accessible. Disconnect the harness, release the wire holders and close the lower tailgate. Disconnect the remaining harnesses, release the wire holders, disconnect the wire from the bumper and place the wiring harness on a clean mat. When installing the bumper, tighten the bolts (M12) securing it to the impact dampers to a torque of 55 N·m (5.5 kgf·m), tighten the bolts (M8) connecting the impact dampers to the body to a torque of 24 N·m (2.4 kgf·m).
