Remove the plug (1, Fig. 18.85) and unscrew the screw underneath it. Pull the shield (3) to the side, unscrew the screw (5) and remove the rear-view mirror (4) with the wire (2).
The rear view mirror should be installed in the reverse order, and it is necessary to install the mirror base with the seal and sound insulation. Tighten the mirror mounting screws to a torque of 6.0 N·m (0.6 kgf·m) and check the mirror for functionality.
Attention! To avoid damaging the clamps, replace the mirror glass at a temperature of 18 – 20°C. The glass should be pressed by the lower edge.
The replacement of the rear view mirror glass on the front door must be carried out in the following order. Prepare the device "00.9.318" and glue the mirror glass and the edge of the housing with polymer adhesive tape.
Using the "00.9.318" tool, move the mirror glass upwards and carefully remove the mirror glass from the rear side and, if necessary, disconnect the mirror heating system and automatic glare reduction system.
When installing, place the glass (1, Fig. 18.86) mirrors with fasteners (2) on the guides (3) and move it down.
Check the outside rearview mirror for functionality.
