Replacement of interior lighting fixtures (BMW 7 Series E38)

Main interior light bulbs

1. Remove the ceiling light assembly (see section Removal and installation of interior lighting devices).

2. On models with individual lighting fixtures, turn the socket of the corresponding lamp counterclockwise and remove it. Take out the lamp.





3. On models without individual lighting fixtures, unscrew the screws (1), remove the ceiling light (2) from the diffuser underneath and remove the lamps.

Vanity Mirror Light Lamp

1. Remove the mirror light (see section Removal and installation of interior lighting devices).



2. Release the contact arcs (1) and remove the lamp (2).

LED interior door handle illumination

1. Remove the door trim (see chapter Body).



2. Disconnect the LED with the cable (1) from the bulb (2).



3. Cut the LED cable (1) to a length of (A = 10 cm) from the door wiring harness.

4. Cut the end of the new LED wire to 16 cm long.

5. Connect the door wiring harness and LED cable using a butt connector and cambric.

6. Secure the repair section to the door wiring harness.
