Replacing the clutch master cylinder (BMW 7 Series E38)

1. Drain or pump out the brake fluid until its level reaches the connection point of the clutch hydraulic drive supply line (1). Disconnect the supply line from the reservoir.

3. Remove the retainer (1) and take out the pin.

5. Remove the retainer (1), disconnect the pipes leading to the slave cylinder from the clutch master cylinder (2), and remove it together with the supply pipe (going to the cistern).

Avoid getting brake fluid on the interior carpet.


6. Installation is carried out in the reverse order. Finally, bleed the clutch hydraulic drive.
