Replacing the negative battery cable
Caution: Observe safety precautions when handling batteries.
1. Remove the luggage compartment protective cover.
2. Remove the cover at the top of the rear seat belt.
3. Remove the luggage compartment protective cover.
4. Remove the cover at the top of the rear seat belt.
5. Remove both side parts of the rear seat back.
6. Remove the rear seat back.
7. Remove the rear trim of the luggage compartment floor.
8. Remove the front trim of the luggage compartment floor.
9. Remove the right rear pillar trim.
10. Remove the valve in the luggage compartment trim.
11. Remove both parts of the luggage compartment pillar trim.
12. Remove the upper trim of the rear body panel.
13. Remove the right inner glass shaft molding.
14. Remove the small item compartment on the right side of the luggage compartment.
15. Remove the right rear wheel arch trim.
16. Remove the right mounting rail in the luggage compartment floor.
17. Remove the right side of the spare wheel well trim.
18. Loosen the fastening nut (1) of the negative terminal of the battery.
Tightening torque: 5 Nm.
19. Pull the negative battery cable (2) upwards.
20. Unscrew the nut (3) and remove the negative cable (2) of the battery.
Tightening torque: 15 Nm.
21. Installation should be carried out in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the above notes.
