Removal and installation the glove box (BMW 3 Series E36)
Removal

All models except Compakt: Using a screwdriver, remove the left and right ventilation grilles.
Open the glove compartment.
Compact model: Press the glove compartment lid to the left, which releases the left axle. Remove the lid.

Unscrew the lock fastening bracket -4/5- on the left and right, disconnect it from the clamp in the middle and remove it. First, remove the screw cap "5" with a narrow screwdriver.

Remove 4 screws -6/7- from the glove box.
Disconnect the backlight connector and switch.
Remove the glove compartment.
Installation
Lightly tighten 2 screws -6/7-.
Connect the electrical wires.
Insert the glove box so that the lower tabs fit between the footwell trim and the two nuts.
Fasten the glove box with two bolts "6".
Tighten 2 bolts "7".
Insert the lock body and screw it in.
Put on the bottom screw caps.
Insert and snap in the ventilation grilles. On the Compact model: insert the glove compartment lid and connect the axle.
