Removal and installation the center console (BMW 3 Series E36)

Removal

Remove the handbrake lever console.

Remove the glove compartment.

Remove the left trim in the footwell area under the instrument panel.

Remove the gear shift knob and gear shift lever cover.

Remove the watch.

Remove the shelf next to the clock.



Unscrew bolt "1".



Unscrew and remove the middle console.

Installation

Insert and screw the middle console.

Insert a shelf next to the clock.

Connect the clock connector, insert it into the hole and snap the clock into place.

Install the gear shift knob and gear shift lever cover.

Install the left trim in the footwell area under the instrument panel.

Install the glove box.

Install the handbrake lever console.

Check all functions of electrical switches, heater switches, and the freedom of movement of the gearshift lever in the center console.
