Withdrawal
Loosen the gearshift lever cover and lift it up.
Remove the hazard warning lights and central locking switches. To do this, press the foam rubber insulation to the side through the hole for the gear lever and press the switches from the inside. Disconnect plug connectors.
Disconnect the cigarette lighter plug through the hole for the gear lever.
Remove the heating and air conditioning control unit.
Note: sometimes the control assembly is very firmly seated. In this case, you must first remove the center console, and then squeeze the control unit from the back.
Press the switch under the control unit. Working through the opening for the control unit, press the switch and disconnect the plug connector.
Remove side mats left and right. To do this, unscrew screws -arrows-, slide side mats forward and unfasten from clips.
Release screws -2- and -3-.
Remove the cover of the handbrake lever from the console at the top, tilt it forward and unfasten it from below.
Loosen screw -4-.
Unscrew screws -5- and -6- after removing the plugs.
Unfasten the side cover of the handbrake lever, to do this, pull the cover at the top rear towards the driver's seat and remove.
Press the rear air intake grille -1- slightly upwards, using a screwdriver from the sides -arrows- to press out and remove the cup holder or stowage support -2-.
Slide the air intake grill down and remove.
Release screws -7- and -8-.
Move the seats all the way back, and at the rear side parts on the left and right bottom, unscrew 2 screws each, having previously removed the plugs -11- with a small screwdriver (pic. W-4B373).
Press the insulation of the gear selector housing aside and remove the screw -9-.
Remove screw -10-.
Raise rear center console slightly and unplug electrical connector underneath for ashtray lighting circuit. Pre-mark the connector with a tag.
Move both front seats, backrests and the gearshift lever or operating mode selector lever to the rearmost positions.
Raise the center console at the rear, pull it back, tilting towards the passenger seat next to the driver, and remove.
Installation
Position the center console at the front on the passenger seat next to the driver.
Connect the connector for the handbrake switch under the console.
Connect the cigarette lighter connector through the hole for the gear lever.
Roughly align center console and fasten loosely with screws:
- first with two screws on the left and right in front, having previously aligned the nuts from sheet material;
- one screw under the insulation of the gear lever;
- one screw under the light alarm switch;
- two screws on the left and right rear at the height of the seat belt buckles;
- two screws at the rear in the hole for the air supply grille.
Align the center console and tighten the fixing screws,
Fasten the cover at the handbrake lever at the top and press down. Insert and tighten 3 screws:
- 1 screw under the handbrake lever;
- 2 screws on the sides, front and back, insert the plugs into place.
Connect the plug connectors of the hazard warning light and central locking switches, press the switches into the holes.
Insert the shift lever insulation.
Insert the rear air intake grille and slide it upwards.
Attach a shelf for things or a cup holder.
Fasten the cover of the handbrake lever at the bottom, press at the top and fasten.
Place the side mat on the left in such a way that both clamps made of sheet material fit into the corresponding holes, slide the cover forward, press it down and fasten it with screws. Fasten the side mat on the right in the same way.
Push the plug for the switch under the heating control unit through the hole and connect to the switch.
Push the switch into the hole.
Install the heating and air conditioning control unit.
Attach the shift lever cover.
