Removal and installation the interior rearview mirror (BMW 5 Series E39)
Removal
Mirror with automatic dimming system: Press the cover at the base of the mirror and disconnect the plug connector.
Remove the mirror from the base by moving it backwards – see left side of the picture.
Installation
Turn the mirror base 45° and place it on the base.
Turn the base of the mirror so that it is fixed on the base,
Mirror with automatic dimming system: connect the plug connector and press the cover at the base of the mirror.
