Removal and installation the interior mirror (BMW 3 Series E46)
Removal
1. Auto-dimming mirror: Remove the visor "1" at the heel of the mirror and disconnect the connector underneath it.
2. Pull the mirror back from the base (left side of the illustration).
Installation
3. Place the mirror base upside down at approximately a 45° angle onto the base.
4. Turn the heel so that it locks into place on the base.
5. Auto-dimming mirror: Match the connector and press the visor at the heel of the mirror.
