Removal and installation the central armrest (BMW 3 Series E46)

Removal

1. Remove the center console, refer to the relevant section.



2. Unscrew bolts "1" at holder "6".

3. Disconnect cable "2" at the parking brake switch "3" by pressing in the spring clip.



4. Pass cable "2" and "4" through the hole in the center armrest.

5 Loosen bolt "5" without unscrewing it.

6. Slide the center console "6" back so that bolt "5" is in the mounting hole "7".

7. Remove the center console upwards.

Installation

8. Check that the sheet metal nuts "8" are not damaged and replace them if necessary.

9. Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal.
