Removal and installation the rear panel trim (BMW 3 Series E46)

Removal

1. Remove the left side panel of the trunk, refer to the relevant section.

2. Remove the pocket. To do this, remove two rivets.

3. Models 316i, 318i: Remove the right side trim. Remove the pocket on the right side of the trunk. To do this, turn the two clamps at an angle of 90° (1/4 turn), opening them.

4. Models 320d, 320i, 323i, 328i: Remove the battery cover, refer to Section Removal and installation the battery.



5. Remove rivets "1" with a small screwdriver.

6. Remove covers "2" and unscrew the screws underneath.

7. Remove the rear panel trim.

Installation

Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal.
