Removal and installation the rear seat (BMW 3 Series E46)

Removal

1. Pull the rear seat up firmly on both sides to remove it from the brackets.

2. Pull the seat forward slightly under the backrest, remove the seat belt buckles and remove the seat from the car.



3. Pull the back at the top by the outer sides forward and remove.

4. Tilt the backrest forward at the top and remove it with four hooks from the eyes.

Installation

5. Insert the back with the lower tabs on the left and right into the guides "1".



6. Fold the backrest back. At the same time, place the outer seat belt over the backrest.

7. Check whether the support elements on the left and right in the backrest are above the holders "2" and adjust if necessary. Press the backrest firmly and fix it.

8. Replace the seat.

9. Thread the locks through the holes in the seat.

10. Slide the seat back under the backrest so that the front brackets are above the tabs in the bottom. In this position, press the seat down firmly and lock it.
