Removal and installation the rear seat (BMW 5 Series E39)
Removal

Pull the rear seat up strongly on both sides from the front and remove it from the clamps.
Pull the rear seat forward slightly from under the backrest, release the seat belt buckles and remove the seat from the vehicle.

Loosen the backrest mounting bolts on the left and right.
Move the middle headrest up as far as possible and then remove it with a strong upward movement.
Pull the rear seat back up and unfasten.
Release the rear seat back from the center seat belt and remove it from the vehicle.
Installation

Connect the back of the rear seat to the central seat belt, place it against the holders, push it down and secure it. If necessary, tilt the seat belt buckles down.
Bolt the back of the seat on the sides.
Insert and push down the middle headrest.
Thread the seat belt buckles through the holes in the rear seat.
Slide the rear seat back under the backrest so that the front clips are above the protrusions in the bottom of the car. In this position, press the seat down hard and lock it.
