Removal and installation the retractable rear window blind (BMW 5 Series E39)

Removal

Remove the rear shelf.



Disconnect electrical wires "1".

Unscrew nuts "2".

Unfasten the burdock type clamps "3".

Unfasten the left and right pads by releasing the toothed washers.

Remove the roll-up curtain from the rear shelf.

Installation

Insert the retractable curtain into the rear shelf and tighten the fastening to a torque of 3 Nm.

Install burdock type clamps and pads.

Place electrical wires in guides.

Install the rear shelf.
