Removal and installation the glove box (BMW 5 Series E34)
Removal
Open the glove compartment.

Use a narrow screwdriver to lift the fastening tape latches and remove the tapes.

Pull the locks on the left and right side of the glove box axle down and disconnect them (the removed lock is shown).
Remove the glove compartment.

If you need to remove the console or heater, you must remove the interior trim of the glove box. To do this, unscrew the screw (1) and pull the trim out of the hooks upwards.
Installation
Install the interior trim. Place the glove box with the locks inserted on the axle, do not close the locks yet.
Close the glove box and move it to align it (the gaps on the left and right must be parallel and the same). Close the locks. Open the glove box and close it again. Repeat the adjustment if necessary.
Put on the fastening tapes and secure them with clamps.
