Removal and installation the sunroof drive (BMW 5 Series E34)
Removal

Remove the interior light lamp together with the lamp board using a narrow screwdriver.

Remove the cover.

If the hatch is open, close it manually using the key rod.

Unscrew 3 bolts and pull out the drive.

Disconnect the connector from the rear side by squeezing the tabs of the lock.
Installation
The roof hatch must be closed.

Make sure that hole 1 is located on the line connecting the drive gear axes. If necessary, turn the motor with a rod wrench.
If switching defects were previously observed, replace the "arrow" limit microswitch.
Insert the drive, connect and secure with 3 bolts. The longest bolt is inserted into the nearest hole (Figure W - 48147).
Install the trim and lampshade.
