Removal and installation the glove box (BMW X5 E53)

The design of the glove box is shown in Figure 18.93. The glove box must be removed in the following order. Remove the right lower trim of the instrument panel and open the glove box. Remove the glove box light lamp shade and disconnect the SS.



Lift the seal box (1, Fig. 18.94) and disconnect the pin (2) from the retaining strap (3). Hook and fully open the glove compartment lid.



Remove the screws (1 and 2, Fig. 18.95) box fastenings. Unscrew the screw (3) and lower the glove box.



Disconnect the charging circuit of the portable lamp.



Unhook the wire (2, Fig. 18.96) from the holder (3) and remove the glove compartment.



Installation of the glove box should be carried out in the reverse order.
