Withdrawal
Loosen wheel bolts.
Raise the front of the car, remove the wheel.
Unscrew the coupling nut -3- of the steering head.
Loosen the steering knuckle nut.
Press out the steering knuckle joint with a suitable puller.
Press the steering tip with a conventional puller, for example Hazet 779.
Loosen the tie rod end while holding the tie rod by the hexagon wrench.
Attention: When unscrewing, note the number of turns for subsequent installation.
Installation
If removed, fit the tie rod clamp ring onto the tie rod.
Unscrew the steering knuckle by the same number of turns.
Insert the steering end into the steering linkage arm. Screw in a new self-locking nut with a tightening torque of 40 Nm.
Put the wheel on. Lower the car.
Tighten wheel bolts crosswise to 110 Nm.
Tighten the steering knuckle to 15 Nm. In this case, the car must be on the ground.
Adjust convergence.
Tighten the steering knuckle coupling nut to 45 Nm.
