All vehicles covered in this manual have a 12V electrical system. The ground connection is through the negative battery terminal. The battery is located in the engine compartment or trunk, depending on the model.
The starter is used to start the engine. The starter switch is an integral part of the ignition switch and, when turned on, energizes the traction relay installed on the starter.
Installed alternator, depending on the engine calculated required maximum current (talk to Specifications), manufactured by Bosch or Motorola.
The generator is driven by the crankshaft through a ribbed V-belt. The regulator mounted on the rear cover of the generator serves to regulate the charge current.
The charging control lamp built into the instrument panel indicates the perfect operation of electrical equipment while the battery charge is normal.
