Basic information

1. To make parking easier, BMW 3 Series cars are equipped with a system that informs the driver of the distance between the rear of the car and any obstacle behind the car. The system consists of several ultrasonic sensors mounted on the rear bumper that measure the distance between the bumper and the nearest obstacle. Information about this distance is transmitted to the driver in the form of an audible signal. The smaller the distance to the obstacle, the higher the frequency of the signal becomes. If the distance becomes less than 30 cm, the signal becomes constant
