Basic information



1. The cruise control system is part of the engine management system. In this system, only external components such as the clutch pedal switch and throttle actuator can be replaced.

2. The trim panel above the pedals is secured with one clip with a central pin, two screws and a rotating clip. Remove the central pin, then remove the clip itself, unscrew the two screws and rotate the clip 90° counterclockwise, then remove the panel. Disconnect the electrical wiring connectors from the panel, noting their location.

3. Disconnect the wiring connector from the clutch pedal switch.

4. Press the clutch pedal and pull the switch plunger all the way out. Press the two tabs together and remove the switch from the bracket.

5. Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. After installing the switch, slowly release the clutch pedal.

6. The actuator is located in the engine compartment, on the left mudguard of the wing. Turn off the ignition, then unscrew the nut and bolt and remove the mechanism. Squeeze the rubber bushing and disconnect the cable from the throttle lever (fig. 21.6, a, b).
