Withdrawal
1. Remove the wiper arm (see paragraph 15).
2. Open the hood.
3. Remove the heating duct housing as follows (pic. 16.3, a, b):
- A) Turn the three tabs 90°counterclockwise and remove the filter cover located at the rear of the engine compartment. Slide the filter forward and take it out.
- b) Disconnect the four clips and disconnect the cable from the air duct.
- V) Remove the four screws, slide the filter housing forward, then remove it.
- G) Lift up the rubber strip, turn the two tabs counterclockwise and slide the panel located in the left corner of the engine compartment slightly forward.
- d)) Remove the two screws, lift the air duct up and out of the engine compartment.
4. Carefully remove the facing from the front of the panel, unhooking it from the clips.
5. Disconnect the two clamps, unscrew the screw and remove the front heater cover (see chapter 3).
6. Disconnect the electrical wiring from the wiper motor.
7. Remove the screw securing the linkage to the panel (pic. 16.7).
8. Remove the large nuts from the drive shafts and remove the washers.
9. Remove the drive (pic. 16.9). Remove the rubber bushings from the shafts, inspect them for damage Replace the bushings if necessary.
10. If necessary mark mutual position of a shaft of the electric motor and a crank of the lever mechanism, then disconnect draft of a screen wiper from the electric motor hinge. Loosen the nut and remove the crank from the motor shaft. Turn out bolts of fastening and disconnect the electric motor from the lever mechanism (pic. 16.10).
Power rear wiper
11. Open the tailgate and remove the tailgate lamp from the trim. Disconnect the electrical connector from the lamp.
12. Remove a small piece of cladding from above (pic. 5.47).
13. Remove the two screws located in the top corner and carefully release the panel clips (pic. 5.48). Remove the panel.
14. Detach the trim around the tailgate lock bar (fig 16.14).
15. Remove the insert from the inner cladding panel. Note the fastening of the insert (pic. 16.15, a, b).
16. Turn out seven screws, disconnect four clamps and remove the internal panel of a door of a luggage compartment (pic. 16.16).
17. Disconnect the wiring connectors from the wiper motor.
18. Mark the position of the motor arm relative to the door. Turn out four screws and remove the electric drive. If necessary, unscrew the two screws and disconnect the window lock from the electric drive (pic. 16.18, a, b).
Lever shaft and rear window wiper drive housing
19. Remove the wiper arm (see above).
20. Open the tailgate, remove the two plastic plugs and unscrew the two nuts securing the plastic shaft cover (pic. 16.20). Remove the cover.
21. From the outside of the door, unscrew the shaft nut. Remove all washers (pic. 16.21).
22. From the inside, unscrew the nut and remove the housing together with the shaft (pic. 16.22). Further disassembly is not recommended.
Installation
23. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal. Install the wiper arms (see paragraph 15).
