Rain sensor — removal and installation (BMW 3 Series E46)

1. The rain sensor is built into the central rear-view mirror. Press the lower edge of the mirror trim, squeeze the two halves of the support trim and release the clips (Fig. 11.1).



2. Remove the trim and disconnect the rain sensor wiring connector.

3. Remove the two sensor clips, then remove the sensor (Fig. 11.3).



4. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
