Withdrawal
1. Turn on and then turn off the wiper so that the lever returns to its original position.
2. Stick a strip of adhesive tape along the wiper blade - you will need it when installing the arm.
3. Remove the lever nut cap, then unscrew the nut. Lift the brush off the windshield and remove the arm from the shaft. If necessary, use a flathead screwdriver or a suitable puller (pic. 15.3).
Note. If you are removing both levers at the same time, mark them as the levers are not interchangeable.
Installation
4. Before installing the lever, clean and dry the pins of the lever and shaft, then install the lever so that the brush is along the strip of adhesive tape. Keep in mind that if the taper hole of the lever is too broken and it does not hold well on the shaft, it is necessary to replace the lever. Screw on the nut, tighten it to the required torque and put on the cap. If you install the levers on a new windshield, adjust the position of the levers as shown in fig. 15.4.
