Adjustment of the gearbox control drive ZF 3HP 20 (BMW 5 Series E12)

Before starting the adjustment, make sure that the transmission crossmember is securely fastened.

Install lever 1 (see picture) select gears in position "O" or "N" (neutral position).



Disconnect the gearbox control rod 2 and adjust its length so that the edges of the limiter 3 rest on the selector lever linkage.

After this, reduce the length of the rod 2 by turning the coupling 4 three turns

After such adjustment, the gap "A" between the stop edge and the limiter should be equal to 1 mm.
