Attention:
- When used with xenon headlights, high voltage is life-threatening. Before removal, disconnect all components from the power source (the lighting system and ignition are off).
- Work with all components of the xenon lighting system (gas discharge initiator, control unit and lamp) should be performed only by qualified personnel.
- When removing the lid, wear protective gloves.
Attention:
- When removing the lid, do not make any transverse movements.
- The cover must be removed from the body only perpendicularly.
- A groove with reduced wall thickness indicates the removal line.
- Lateral movements can damage the cable inside the headlight.
- The sealing edge must not be damaged.
Caution: Follow the ESD protection instructions (ESD - Electrostatic Discharge).
1. Remove the left headlight.
2. Press out the cover (1) along line (2) using a suitable tool.
3. Remove the cover (1) together with the adaptive cornering light system drive/electronic unit and the mount from the headlight (3).
4. Disconnect the connector (1).
5. Remove the adaptive cornering light system drive/electronic unit (3) complete with the mount (4) and cover (2).
6. Insert the adaptive headlights drive/electronic unit (1) into the mount (2) in the direction indicated by the arrow.
Note: The adaptive cornering light system actuator/electronic unit (1) must be positioned in the mounting guides (2).
7. Install the mount (2) assembled with the drive/electronic unit of the adaptive cornering light system (1) on the cover (4).
Note: The adaptive cornering light system actuator/electronic unit (1) must be located in the guides of the cover (4).
8. Tighten the screw (3).
Tightening torque: 1 Nm.
9. Insert the seal (5) into the cover (4).
Note: Make sure that the seal (5) is correctly positioned in the cover (4).
10. Close the connection.
11. Insert the adaptive cornering light system drive/electronic unit (1) complete with the mount (2) and cover (4) into the headlight.
12. Tighten the screws (6).
Tightening torque: 1 Nm.
13. Perform vehicle programming/coding.
