Removal and installation the rear stabilizer bar (BMW 5 Series E28)
Removal
The rear stabilizer bar is attached basically the same way on all models. Follow these general removal and installation instructions, keeping in mind possible deviations.
1. Block the front wheels, then jack up the rear of the vehicle and securely place it on axle stands.
2. Remove the stabilizer bar bracket bolts or nuts.

3. Disconnect the rod from its links at both ends and remove the rod. The bolt connecting the rear stabilizer rod link to the trailing arm is indicated by the arrow.
4. Inspect and replace any damaged bolts, washers, bushings or links as necessary.
Installation
Reinstall in reverse order. Tighten all fasteners securely.
