Glove box (BMW 5 Series E28)

Opening - pull the handle.

The glove compartment lighting is switched on when the ignition key is turned to position 1.

Closing - slam the lid shut.

To avoid the risk of injury or bruises during sudden braking, the glove compartment must be closed while driving.

Blocking - possible only with the main key.

Replacing the lamp - press the lamp with a screwdriver, replace the lamp (5 Watt).

Rechargeable portable lamp

The socket for the rechargeable portable lamp is located in the glove compartment on the left. The portable lamp, thanks to the existing overcharge protection, can be inserted into the socket permanently.

Only insert the lamp into the socket when it is switched off.

Additional storage compartments

They are located on the instrument panel, in the front doors, on the center console, possibly on the backs of the front seats, and also in a box* with a lid next to the steering column on the left.
