Heating, ventilation and air conditioning

1-3 — Air supply distribution levers

Smooth regulation of heated air distribution.
  • Lever to the left - closed;
  • Lever to the right - fully open.

1 — Lever for distributing air supplied to the windows

The air coming through the deflectors is directed to the windshield and front side windows.

2 - Lever for distributing air supplied to the middle

The air supply is regulated by turning the vanes in the middle of the instrument panel in the front doors, as well as on the upper side of the instrument panel.

3 — Lever for distributing air supplied to the feet

Air flows through vents located in the front and rear footwells.

Rear compartment ventilation

The rear section of the passenger compartment can be ventilated using the deflectors of the center console, regardless of the position of the lever on the instrument panel. Only fresh air comes through them, and when the air conditioner is on, cooled air.

4, 6 - Rotary temperature switches for the left and right sides of the passenger compartment

The temperature control mode is switched on and off using the rotary switch on the driver's side. Left end position - no temperature or heating control.

Turning from the fixed position to the right turns on the temperature control mode.

Right end position (fixed) - maximum heating of the cabin, temperature regulation does not occur (this position can be used as an emergency switch in case of a malfunction of the electronic temperature control system).

The scales indicate the approximate values of the set temperature in the cabin. The selected temperature is reached extremely quickly and, as a rule, should not change (automatic temperature control). To avoid unwanted temperature fluctuations, turn the switch gradually.

5 - Switch and rotary switch for the amount of air supplied

Position 0 - the system is switched off, the air supply is blocked.

Turn clockwise from the fixed position - the system is on, a minimum amount of air is supplied, the fan operates at minimum capacity.

Further rotation to the right - the amount of supplied air increases, minimum fan performance.

Increased fan performance - stages 2-4.

For the electronic temperature control system to function properly, the rotary switch must be set to at least the 12 o'clock position.

For maximum intensive heating of the windshield and side windows, use:

7 — Maximum glass blowing control diagram

The maximum effect is achieved when the engine is warm.

Fogging of glass occurs due to condensation due to temperature differences or excessively high air humidity. Condensation can only be eliminated by blowing a large amount of warm air onto the glass.

8 — AUC switch - Automatic air recirculation systems*

This system detects the maximum permissible level of pollution of the outside air with harmful substances and prevents them from entering the passenger compartment.

Pressing the switch again activates three functions:
  • lEDs off - normal fresh air supply mode;
  • the LED on the left lights up - the sensor measures the proportion of harmful substances in the outside air; when the content of harmful substances in the outside air increases, the fresh air intake flaps are automatically closed and the system operates in recirculation mode;
  • the right LED lights up - recirculation mode is on.

Air recirculation systems

The air recirculation mode is recommended when the outside air is heavily polluted - the interior air is recirculated in the cabin, which prevents the penetration of polluted air from the outside. A lit indicator lamp signals that the air recirculation mode is working properly.

Despite the fact that in order to improve air quality (for example, drying) the air conditioner is connected automatically, the air recirculation mode should not be turned on for a long time.

If the windows fog up from the inside in recirculation mode or AUC mode, switch to normal operation mode and press switch 9 of the air conditioner.

9 — Air conditioning switch

When the button is pressed, the air conditioner switches on from approx. 1°C outside temperature. The control lamp signals the operation of the air conditioner. The air is cooled and becomes drier.

When the humidity is very high, it is recommended to dry the air by turning on the air conditioner in advance (while the evaporator is not yet covered with condensation). In this case, the glasses do not fog up. At the same time cooled air should not be supplied to the windshield, as it may fog up from the outside. At maximum cooling capacity, the system switches automatically to air recirculation mode (with a small amount of fresh air).

10 — Rear window heating switch

The operation is similar to that described in paragraph Rear window heating.

Comfortable driving conditions - thanks to the layered distribution of conditioned air: warm feet - cool head.

Comfortable driving conditions - thanks to the layered distribution of conditioned air: warm feet -…

The temperature of the air supplied through the deflectors on the instrument panel and front doors can be changed by rotating roller 1:
  • rotate right - warmer
  • left rotation - colder
