The system prevents slippage of the drive wheels under adverse conditions (black ice) and, thanks to this, ensures their optimal grip on the road surface from the point of view of the laws of physics.
The system is activated when the engine is started
The indicator lamp in the instrument cluster on the dashboard goes out immediately after the ignition is turned on.
System shutdown - press the button, the control lamp lights up.
Restarting the system - press the button again, the control lamp goes out.
The control lamp is flashing - the system is in the adjustment mode for driving conditions.
The indicator lamp does not go out after starting the engine or flashes while driving - the system is faulty; however, the vehicle can be operated without the ASC T system in normal mode. For repair of the ASC T system, contact a BMW service.
