Heating and air conditioning fan (BMW X3 E83)

Removal and installation the heating and air conditioning fan



1. Remove the heater partition.

2. Disconnect the pipeline (1) from the fitting (2) in the direction indicated by the arrow.

3. Remove the protective cover (3) from the guide (4) in the direction indicated by the arrow.

4. Pull the lock (1) in the direction indicated by the arrow and disconnect the valve (2).

5. Release the clamps (1).

6. Unscrew the screw (2).

7. Remove the fan cover (3).

9. Remove the fan casing (2).

Note: When installing, ensure that the fan casing (2) is positioned correctly.


10. Unlock and disconnect the connector.

11. Release the clamp using tool 513057.

Note: When installing, the jumper (1) must be fixed in the hole (2) in the fan motor housing.

12. Remove the heater/air conditioner fan forward.

Note: When installing, pay attention to the correct position of the heater/air conditioner fan.


13. Installation should be carried out in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the above notes.
