Removal and installation the air conditioner dehydrator tank
Attention:
- High pressure in the refrigerant circuit.
- Carry out repair work only when there is no pressure in the refrigerant circuit.
- Avoid contact with refrigerant and refrigeration oil.
- Observe safety requirements when handling R134a refrigerant.
- Avoid contact with refrigerant and refrigeration oil.

Attention:
- Only BMW recommended R134a refrigerant may be used.
- Start the engine only when the air conditioner is charged according to all the rules.
- If the air conditioner is left open for more than 24 hours, the air conditioner dehumidifier element needs to be replaced.
Note: The standard time for this operation does not include refrigerant recovery, vacuuming, and recharging of the air conditioner.
1. Remove the windshield washer reservoir and set it aside.

2. Loosen the bolts (1) and remove the refrigerant lines (2).
Note: When installing, replace all O-rings and lubricate them with refrigeration oil.
Tightening torque: 20 Nm.

3. Partially detach the right front wheel arch cover.
4. Loosen the screws (1) and remove the desiccant tank (2) upwards.
5. Disconnect the connector (3).
Note: When installing, pay attention to the secure position of the dehumidifier tank.
6. Installation should be carried out in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the above notes.
7. Evacuate and fill the air conditioner.
8. If necessary, add fluid to the windshield washer reservoir.
