Heating and air conditioning control panel (BMW X3 E83)

Removal and installation the heating and air conditioning control panel



Caution: Follow the ESD protection instructions (ESD - Electrostatic DIs-harge).


1. Remove the central ventilation grille.

2. Remove the ignition key from the lock.

3. Remove fuse No. 63 from the mounting block in the glove compartment.

4. Remove the screws (1).

5. Using tool 641020, release the control panel (2) of the heating and air conditioning system from the clamps at points (3) and pull it back.

6. Unlock and disconnect the corresponding connectors.

7. Remove the control panel (2) of the heating and air conditioning system.

8. Installation should be carried out in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the above notes.

9. Perform coding/programming.

Note: Only when replacing the heating and air conditioning control panel.
