Removal and installation the rear seat (BMW 7 Series E38)

Seat cushion

1. On models with heated rear seats and/or power head restraints, disconnect the corresponding electrical connectors.



2. To do this, press the clamps, raise the rear seat to the maximum position (A = 150 mm) and disconnect the connector.



3. Remove the rear seat cushion.

1. Remove the headrest and rear seat cushion.



2. Loosen the seat belt mounting bolt (1) and remove the nut (2). On models with rear seat back heating, disconnect the connector (3). Fold the soundproofing cover (4) forward and loosen the bolt (5).





3. Remove the cover.



4. Press the fasteners, detach the roller from the seat belt pad and pull out the seat belt webbing.

5. Remove the rear seat backrest by moving it upwards.



6. Installation is carried out in the reverse order. Hook the hinges onto the protrusions and secure the back of the rear seat with bolts.
