Brake system — general warnings (BMW X3 E83)

            0

Due to its properties, brake fluid can easily be confused with various mineral oils.

Attention:
  • Never pour or store brake fluid in beverage bottles. Risk of fatal poisoning.
  • If brake fluid comes into contact with skin, immediately wash the affected areas with soap and water. In case of contact with eyes, rinse eyes thoroughly with clean water. In case of accidental ingestion, try to induce vomiting and immediately go to the nearest hospital.
  • If brake fluid comes into contact with painted surfaces, immediately wash off the brake fluid with water, as it has a destructive effect on the paint. Never rub brake fluid onto a varnished surface. Brake fluid should not come into contact with grease or oil. Before working with brake fluid, wash your hands to remove grease and oil. In the future, care should be taken to ensure that fat does not get into the brake system.
  • Used brake fluid must not be disposed of in the trash, other waste fluids, or sewerage system. It falls under the existing law on the disposal of special waste and must be disposed of separately from other waste liquids at the nearest special waste collection point.
