Steering wheel buttons (BMW X3 E83)

These keys allow you to quickly control the following without being distracted from what is happening on the road:

• some functions of audio equipment;
• recirculation mode/steering wheel heating;
• cruise control system;
• some phone functions;
• voice control system.

Control using these keys is only possible if the corresponding systems are enabled.

Telephone (optional)/voice control system (optional)/audio equipment (optional)

• Short press: answer a call, hang up, start dialing;
• long press: Turn the voice control system on and off.

Display/delete the phone book from the screen. You can scroll through the records using the forward/backward arrows.

Forward/backward.

Radio.

• Short press: next programmed radio station;
• long press: search for radio station.

CD player.

• Short press: skip to the next track;
• long press: fast forward/backward search.

Telephone.

• Scrolling through the list of names.

Volume.

Cruise control system (optional)

Restoring the speed recorded in memory.

Memorization and acceleration (+), memorization and deceleration (-).

Turn on/pause/turn off.

Recirculation mode/heated steering wheel (optional)

Depending on the configuration, the button turns on the recirculation mode or the steering wheel heating.

Turning the recirculation mode on and off.

Turning the steering wheel heating on and off.
