Removal and installation or replacing the EGR cooler
Caution: Risk of burns. This work should only be performed on a cold engine.
1. Remove the soundproofing casing.
2. Remove the fan shroud.
3. Drain the coolant from the radiator.
4. Disconnect the vacuum line (1).
5. Connect the vacuum pump to the bypass valve diaphragm mechanism.
6. Using a vacuum pump, check the operation of the exhaust gas recirculation system.
7. Unscrew the screws (2).
8. Disconnect the membrane mechanism.
9. Remove the screws (1).
Note: The seal must be replaced during installation.
10. Remove the screws (1).
11. Unscrew the screw (1).
Note: All seals must be replaced during installation.
12. Assemble the engine.
13. Bleed the cooling system.
14. Check the cooling system for leaks.
