First of all, you should check the working pressure of the power steering pump.
Disconnect the high-pressure line from the pump and connect the line to pressure gauge 32 4 000.
Connect the pressure gauge discharge line and the pressure line to the pump «IN» (see photo).
Close tap 1.
Start and warm up the engine, then open cock 2 and bleed air from the power steering system at idle.
After removing air from the hydraulic booster system, close cock 2 for no more than 10 s and read the pressure gauge readings, while cock 1 should not open.
The measured pressure must not be more than 10% less than the pressure indicated on the pump nameplate.
