Disconnect the high pressure line from the pump and connect the line to the pressure gauge fitting 32 4 000.
Connect the pressure gauge discharge line and line "B" to the pump (see photo).
Close tap 1.
Start and warm up the engine, then open valve 2 and remove air from the power steering system at idle speed.
After removing air from the power steering system, close valve 2 for no more than 10 seconds and read the pressure gauge readings; valve 1 should not open.
The measured pressure must not be more than 10% less than the pressure value indicated on the pump nameplate.
