Adjustment with a set of shims
Remove the distributor cap.
Raise the rear of the car with a jack, engage 4th gear and turn the engine crankshaft, rotating the rear wheel, so that the fiber pad of the breaker hammer rests on the tip of one of the cams of the distributor drive shaft.
Loosen the fixed contact fastening screw and adjust the gap between the contacts using a set of shims (see adjustment data in subsection "Detailed technical specifications").
Tighten the fixed contact mounting screw, turn the engine crankshaft a few revolutions to ensure that the gap between the contacts is adjusted correctly.
