Disconnect wire tip 1 (see photo) and loosen screw 2.
Remove the fixed and moving contacts. Install new breaker contacts in the reverse order of removal.

Replacing breaker contacts (BMW 5 Series E12)
Remove the distributor and take out the rotor.
Disconnect wire tip 1 (see photo) and loosen screw 2.
Remove the fixed and moving contacts. Install new breaker contacts in the reverse order of removal.
