Conventional incandescent light bulbs are subject to wear and tear. Approximately every 2 years they must be replaced, even when they are still in good condition. This does not apply to halogen lamps, which are used in the main headlights. Usually they last much longer and are replaced only when a defect occurs. An incandescent lamp with reduced luminous intensity is also recognizable by black deposits on the glass.
Before replacing the incandescent lamp, it must be turned off.
Caution: Do not grasp the lamp by the glass with bare fingers. Fingerprints, due to the heat generated by the lamp, evaporate from the glass surface, and then the vapors settle on the surface of the reflector, reducing its reflectivity. Replace the incandescent lamp only with a lamp of the same design. Remove stains accidentally caused by touching with a clean, lint-based, handkerchief moistened with alcohol or alcohol.
