Conventional incandescent bulbs are subject to wear and tear. They need to be replaced approximately every 2 years, even when they are still in good condition. This does not apply to halogen bulbs, which are used in the main headlights. They usually last significantly longer and are replaced only when a defect occurs. An incandescent bulb with reduced luminous intensity can also be recognized by black deposits on the glass.
Before replacing an incandescent light bulb, it must be turned off.
Warning: Do not touch the lamp by the glass with bare fingers. Fingerprints, due to the heat emitted by the lamp, evaporate from the glass surface, and then the vapors settle on the surface of the reflector, reducing its reflectivity. Replace the incandescent lamp only with a lamp of the same design. Remove stains accidentally caused by touching with a clean, lint-free cloth moistened with alcohol or spirits.
