Replacing EDC ground clearance sensors (BMW 7 Series E38)

After installing the sensor, check and, if necessary, adjust the headlight inclination (see chapter On-board electrical equipment).

1. Disconnect the connector (1), loosen the nut (2) and disconnect the ride height sensor lever. Loosen the screws (3) and remove the sensor.

When installing, the lever (4) must face outward.

2. When replacing the sensor lever, open the bracket (1).

3. Installation is carried out in the reverse order. The holder must be located between the two bosses (2). Make sure that the bracket (1) is installed correctly.

1. Disconnect the connector (2), loosen the nut (3) and disconnect the ride height sensor lever.



2. Unscrew the screws (1) and remove the sensor.

3. Installation is carried out in the reverse order. The lever (4) must be facing outward.
