Removal other components of the air conditioning system (BMW 7 Series E38)
Evaporator, shut-off and safety valves
1. Remove the heating and air conditioning unit.
2. Remove the expansion valve.

3. Loosen the clamps on the left and right sides and disconnect the hoses.

4. Remove the rods from the mounts.
When installing, bring both levers to the uppermost position and secure the rods.

5. Remove all screws and press all fasteners of the lower part of the case. Remove the lower part of the case and take out the evaporator.

6. Loosen the union nuts (1) and remove the shut-off valve (2).
Replace the sealing rings when installing.

7. Loosen the screws (1) and remove the safety valve (2).
Replace the sealing rings when installing.
8. Installation is carried out in reverse order.
Desiccant tank
1. Discharge the A/C system.
2. Remove the right air cleaner.

3. Remove the bolts, pull up the suction and discharge pipes and plug them if the air conditioner will be left open for more than one hour.
Replace the sealing rings when installing.

4. Remove the bolts and pull the desiccant tank upwards.
5. Installation is carried out in reverse order.
