Removal and installation the front door exterior handle
1. Remove the front door outer handle cover.

2. Remove the plug (1).
Note: When installing, it is necessary to replace the damaged plug (1).

Note: Take measures to protect the hole (1) from scratches (danger of corrosion).
Caution: If the screw (3) is not tightened properly, the lock mechanism may spring back and the sound insulation will have to be removed.
3. Pull the outer door handle (2) outward/upward and hold it in this position.
4. Using tool 512220, turn the screw (3) counterclockwise, thus securing the outer door handle (2).
Tightening torque: 2 Nm.

Note: To perform dismantling, the outer door handle (1) must be secured with a screwdriver (4).
5. Disconnect the outer door handle (1) by moving it backwards from the rear drive (2) of the lock.
8. Detach the outer door handle (1) by moving it downwards/outwards (in the direction indicated by the arrow) from the front drive (3) of the lock.

Note: The following parts of the outside door handle (4) must be present and undamaged:
- 1. Rear mount.
- 2. Front mount.
- 3. Cloth strip (if present, no need for reinstallation/replacement).

7. Place the outer door handle with the hole on the fastener (1).
8. Fix the rear mount of the outer door handle in the drive (2) of the lock.

9. Unscrew the screw (1).
10. Remove the seals (2 and 3) in the direction indicated by the arrow.
Note: If necessary, replace damaged seals (2 and 3).

Note: Take measures to protect the hole (1) from scratches (danger of corrosion).
Caution: If the screw (3) is not tightened properly, the lock mechanism may spring back and the sound insulation will have to be removed.
11. Holding the outer door handle (2), use tool 512220 to tighten the screw (3) clockwise.
Tightening torque: 2 Nm.
Note: Check operation only with the door open.
