Removal and installation the left or right front door lock
1. Close the door glass.
2. Remove the sound insulation only in the rear part.
3. Completely remove sound insulation.
Note: For Security modification.
4. Disconnect the cable at the bottom (1) and top (3) from the door lock (2).
Attention:
- The cable must be correctly positioned in the fastenings on the door lock (2).
- The seal (4) must be correctly positioned on the cable.
5. Unlock the connector (1) by pressing on the tabs (2) and disconnect it from the door lock (3).
6. Disconnect the locking rod (4) from the door lock (3).
7. Disconnect the connector (1).
8. Release the wire holder (2).
9. Unscrew the bolt (3) and unscrew the nuts (4).
Tightening torque: 7.6 Nm.
Caution: When removing, do not damage the door lock seal.
10. Remove the screws (1).
11. Remove the door lock (2) from the interior side.
Caution: To prevent leaks and malfunction of electrical components.
12. Pull the door lock (2) using a special tool to the corner (3).
Note: When installing, it is necessary to insert the inner part of the door lock (1) into the blade (2) of the lock cylinder (3), paying attention to the correct position.
Note: The door lock seal (1) (2) must not be damaged.
13. Unscrew the nuts (1) and remove the bracket (2).
Tightening torque: 4 Nm.
14. Insert the door lock and screw in the screws (1) without tightening.
15. Insert tool 512190 into the open latch until it snaps into the first locking position.
16. Using the knurled screw (1), pre-tighten the door lock (2) until the 512190 tool fits snugly against the corners (3).
Attention:
- When finally tightening the door lock (1), you can screw in the knurled head screw (2) a maximum of 1-1.5 turns more (danger of damage).
- The door lock seal should fit evenly against the inner door panel (water seepage).
17. Tighten the door lock mounting screws to a tightening torque of 10 Nm.
18. Installation should be carried out in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the above notes.
